EUROTERMINAL SŁAWKÓW – TRANSSHIPMENT TERMINAL

“Euroterminal Sławków” Sp. z o.o. is an intermodal transshipment terminal situated at the junction of the westernmost section of the broad-gauge railway line (1520 mm) and the standard-gauge line (1435 mm). This unique location makes it a perfect fit for the development of container transport on routes connecting the Far East and Asia with Western Europe.

At the same time, Euroterminal is located near the intersection of the Pan-European Transport Corridors connecting East with West (Pan-European Transport Corridor III) and North with South (Pan-European Transport Corridor VI). The terminal is situated on the outskirts of the Silesian Agglomeration, in a location that offers a unique vantage point relative to the region’s main transport routes, both in terms of road and rail transport.

ABOUT THE COMPANY Sławków

We maintain excellent connections with the national and international transport networks through:

RAIL CONNECTIONS

  • Direct connection via the broad-gauge LHS line (approx. 400 km long) through the Izov/Hrubieszów border crossing, linking the Far East via Ukraine,
  • Access to lines specified in the AGTC Agreement (European Agreement on Important International Combined Transport Lines), via connections with the following lines:
    • CE30: Zgorzelec – Wrocław – Katowice – Kraków – Przemyśl – Medyka
    • CE65: Gdynia – Gdańsk – Warszawa – Katowice – Zebrzydowice,
  • Access to Europe – Asia transport corridors. The location of Euroterminal allows for convenient connection toboth Pan-European Corridors VI and III.
  • Integration with the regional rail network.

ROAD CONNECTIONS

Proximity to the country’s main transport routes:

  • A1 Warsaw – Bielsko Biała, distance: 8 km,
  • A4 Katowice – Kraków, distance: 10 km,
  • E40 Katowice – Kraków, distance: 5 km.

CONNECTIONS WITH AIRPORTS

  • Kraków Balice, distance: 57 km,
  • Katowice Pyrzowice, distance: 44 km.

We offer regular intermodal connections with Polish Baltic ports (Baltic HUB in Gdańsk, BCT and GCT in Gdynia), as well as with Italian terminals in Maddaloni (near Naples) and Orbassano (near Turin). As the westernmost facility with access to the broad-gauge track (1520 mm), Euroterminal enables its customers to receive rail shipments from Ukraine without the need for transshipment at the PL-UA border.

The facility’s area, spanning over 90 hectares, houses numerous open storage yards for transshipment activities and the storage of bulk goods (coal, coke, stone), steel products (steel coils, rebar, wire rod), and metallurgical raw materials (ferroalloys, pig iron), as well as a covered concrete yard with crane access for handling pallets, big-bags, and bundled/coiled steel.

The container yard, exceeding 3.3 hectares, is equipped with 2 gantry cranes and 5 reach stackers, enabling the efficient handling of both single shipments and full block trains. In combination with the Euroterminal Customs Agency’s services, customers can benefit from comprehensive cargo handling for import, export, or transit.

In addition to broad terminal operations, we also provide road transport services in a first/last mile formula. The company operates its own fleet of container chassis and a permanent driver pool, while our forwarders oversee the delivery process of container shipments domestically and internationally. This applies to the handling of goods from rail intermodal connections (block trains, single shipments) as well as road transport.
